Writing Every Day In November

After reading that title, you may be wondering what is NaNoWriMo. Well, I’m here to tell you that NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month (often shortened to NaNoWriMo). It’s an annual, Internet-based creative writing project that takes place during the month of November. Participants attempt to write a 50,000-word manuscript between November 1 and November 30. For the first time, I will be participating in the project. This is going to help me get out the sequel to Let Me Set You Straight out so much faster. Of course, I’m sure the novel is going to end up being a lot more than 50,000 words. LMSYS was slightly over 121,000 words. But, I think that this will help me gain some momentum that I will be able to maintain. Then, the sequel, tentatively titled Desperate Deceptions, will be out soon.

Stuff To Look Forward To

Of course, this means I will have less time to read and procrastinate. Don’t worry. I’m going to make time to post some interesting things here because I love you guys.  Also, I had a really good time writing those spooky short stories so I would like to continue to do something similar. I’m also planning a short prequel to Let Me Set You Straight featuring Dane. I plan to give that away for free, so make sure you’ve signed up to my mailing list.  Another freebie in the works is a bonus scene between Dane and Jayla. It’ll be fun and sassy.

As you can see, I’ve got a lot planned and I still have to homeschool a 16-year-old. Please send prayers for stress relief and endurance. Thank you in advance.

Random Thoughts

On a totally different note, a whole different song actually, is anyone else fascinated by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry being pregnant? I can honestly say that I never cared a lick about the royal family before.  I mean, I am a romantic and theirs is a fairy tale story. But I think it also has to do with the fact that he married an African-American (well half anyway) ‘commoner’.  I have to admit, I now find it all very riveting. It made me think about, how self-centered we can be. Yes, I’m including you so I don’t feel as bad. But, are we only interested in things that we somehow relate to or somehow have some bearing on us?
